Short for "self camera" (self-portrait); the same idea as the English "selfie," but the Korean term was coined and popularized first.

Originally a self-photo booth brand name that became the generic term for the whole genre of instant four-cut photo booths. As in "인생네컷 찍으러 가자" ("let's go take some four-cut photos").

The V-sign pose from Japanese gyaru culture -- holding a V next to the eye for photos -- which became a trend in Korea too.

Literally "official memorial photo" — jokingly used for the single photo that best (and often most hilariously) represents a person.
