memedics (the “Service”) treats your personal data with care and processes it as described below. This policy is based on the information the Service actually collects and uses.
1. Data we collect
- When signing in with Google: the name, email address and profile identifier of your Google account. (Login is optional; you can browse, vote and comment anonymously without it.)
- When commenting: your nickname and comment content. If signed in, your account identifier is stored alongside so you can manage your own comments.
- When voting: an anonymous identifier (generated in your browser's localStorage) to prevent duplicate votes, and the option you chose. We do not store personal identifiers such as name or email.
2. Purposes of use
- Identifying signed-in users and letting them edit·delete their own comments
- Displaying comments and preventing improper use
- Preventing duplicate votes and tallying the activity gauge
3. Retention and disposal
Personal data is retained until its purpose is fulfilled or you request deletion·account removal. Signed-in users can request deletion of account-linked data on the account deletion page. The anonymous voting identifier disappears when you clear your browser data.
4. Third-party processing
- Supabase — database storage and authentication (hosting).
- Google — social login (OAuth) authentication.
The Service does not sell personal data to outside parties or provide it for advertising purposes beyond the above.
