Korean meme trend dictionary
memedics is a meme dictionary that measures the memes circulating in Korean communities right now, gathered from many places. We don’t decide what counts as a meme — we show the measured activity as-is. The interpretation is up to you.
We count mentions of registered memes across communities of different character — DCInside, YouTube, and more — and build rankings alongside external signals like Naver search trends. So that a spike in one source can’t sway the whole ranking, we compute the average of per-source ranks (abuse-resistant). If one source goes down, the rest keep running.
Machines only suggest — "this seems to be rising," "this seems no longer used." Whether to register a meme or declare it dead is up to people. Visitors take part by voting whether each meme is "still alive / dead." When both signals — fading mentions and public verdict — overlap, it moves to the obituary section.
Voting is anonymous per browser with no login, and serves as a reference gauge; you can re-judge once a month. Comments can be left anonymously or with Google login, and logging in lets you edit or delete your own comments.
